With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the resort faced the challenge of ensuring guest safety while maintaining high levels of productivity. To address this challenge, Las Palomas partnered with Xipe, to transform the guest experience through innovative technology solutions.


Working closely with Las Palomas, Xipe focused on improving the check-in process and enhancing guest attention through technology. The goal was to provide a safe and seamless experience for international guests, while also boosting operational efficiency. By integrating the latest technology solutions, Xipe was able to offer a personalized and unique experience for each guest, while also streamlining the check-in process and reducing wait times.

The Challenge Solved 

The resort needed to implement safe processes to ensure that guests could enjoy their vacations with peace of mind. 


To support this transformation, Xipe worked closely with Las Palomas to redesign service processes, including the reception of clients and the help desk's tasks, using innovative technologies. The Xipe team consisted of experts in analysis, design, and development, who integrated everything into a single, cohesive system.


This project was a significant challenge as we co-created the user journey with Las Palomas' internal IT team, transitioning their physical processes into a digital format. We collaborated with their various service providers to connect different services within the kiosks.


The Solution: Implementing Interactive and Functional Kiosks


Working closely with Las Palomas, we integrated their existing systems into interactive and functional kiosks, featuring a user-friendly interface.


These kiosks allowed guests to carry out a check-in integration with reservation systems, room card activation, point system for in-hotel purchases, guest parking access, verified identity with ID scanning, adding additional guests, collecting payment for the reservation, ensuring full payment, and a seamless check-out.


To achieve this Xipe evaluated the resort's services and created APIs that interconnected the different providers and systems, enabling a unified experience. The result was a unique design that provided guests with the same level of attention they previously received at the reception while empowering them to complete tasks at their convenience.


Xipe developed four kiosks with intuitive interfaces, utilizing robust architecture for high performance and reliability. Despite tight timelines, the Xipe team successfully delivered a state-of-the-art solution that enabled Las Palomas to provide a safe and seamless experience to its guests.
